About us
J&PL Contracting is an Aussie, family-based business, established in 2024 and built on more than 15 years of hands-on experience in the trade.
Behind it is director Peter Leahy, who holds every job to a very high standard and is easy to deal with, from the first phone call to the final walk-around.
We build and repair residential fences: Colorbond, timber, slat and picket fences, gates and front fences, along with retaining walls made to last. We bring that same trade knowledge to insurance work. When a storm hits, we quote the damage to fences, boundaries, retaining walls and other external structures, and we give insurers, loss adjusters, insurance builders and strata managers an independent damage assessment, an itemised scope of works and a costed estimate at current rates.
Because we never tender for the repair work we scope, our scopes stay independent. Fees are flat and agreed up front, never a percentage of a claim, and we turn work around fast after storms, so your property gets sorted without the hassle.

That care starts with Peter. He has a big heart for making a positive difference in people’s lives, and he is always looking for opportunities to make an impact. He has toured and performed in Ghana, and over there he does giveaways and works with different people in the community to give back and change lives, such as helping provide school fees and food necessities. J&PL Contracting is a big contributor and support behind that work, and Peter brings the same heart to the way we look after every customer here.
